Welcome and thank you for your interest in my Senior Model Team! Please read everything  below to find out all the details on becoming a part of the team:

Before You Apply - Please Know

• JLP Senior Models receive a premium senior experience, not free photography

• A minimum product investment is required

• Models represent my brand values both online and in person

A Note for Parents & Guardians

First — thank you so much for being here and for supporting your senior during this exciting season.

Senior year is filled with so many milestones, and choosing a photographer is an important decision. I

don't take that responsibility lightly and my bar for your and your senior's entire senior pictures experience is excellence.

​

My goal is to provide a guided, full-service senior portrait experience that feels meaningful, organized, and stress-free for both you and your senior. From planning and styling to image selection and finished artwork, I walk families through every step so nothing feels overwhelming or uncertain. 

​

This team is about more than photos — it's about celebrating who your senior is right now, preserving this moment in a way that will be enjoyed for years to come, and enhancing your senior's year through relationships and experiences that form cherished memories .

What Does "Senior Model" Mean?

The JLP Senior Model Team is a year-long, premium senior experience designed for a small group of seniors who want to be more involved and receive additional perks throughout the year.

Senior Models:

• Receive my full senior portrait experience as well as perks outlined below

• Participate in a minimum of three team shoots

• Help represent my brand through word-of-mouth and social sharing

• Are expected to uphold positive, kind, and respectful behavior

Participation as a Senior Model does not replace the investment in senior portraits. It enhances the experience.

Time Commitment

There will be a minimum of three team shoots scheduled throughout the year, typically on Sundays when possible.

While attendance is encouraged, if a model is unable to attend a scheduled shoot, it cannot be rescheduled and images from that session will be forfeited.

​

 

Investment Information 

If selected for the Senior Model Team, models receive my complete senior experience, which includes planning, shooting time, professional retouching, and a guided ordering appointment. (The model team investment outlined below is the same as my regular senior package).

Investment Details:

• $395 session fee (due at contract signing)

• $595 product deposit (applies in full toward your final order) 

• Flexible payment plans are available
  Most families invest between $1,300-$2,500, (total, including the package amounts above)  in their senior portraits, depending on the products selected.

I specialize in premium quality albums, wall art, and custom products designed to be displayed and enjoyed - not just stored digitally.

What's Included for Senior Models

• A welcome meeting and team introduction

• A minimum of three styled team shoots

• A 3-day team summer destination shoot in Kansas City (Cost varies based on the number of models on the team and the price of our accommodations, but typically runs around $375/family for 3 days/2 nights. Photographer expenses are included in this total, although I do not charge for my services on this trip as it is my welcome gift to the team. Meals are not included in the cost. Moms accompany their models. More details provided at the informational meeting)

• Priority access to additional destination opportunities

• A full-page feature in the JLP Senior Magazine

• I will come to your special events, senior nights, games, etc anytime I am available to grab a few professional pictures when you let me know in advance. I am happy to do a mini shoot in your dress or suit if you are selected as a court candidate.

 

Next Steps

Submitting an application does not commit you to the program.

Selected families will be invited to an in-person informational meeting where contracts, expectations, and investment details will be reviewed in full. This meeting is designed to answer questions and ensure the program is a good fit for both your family and my business.

Hey Julie, what should I know about you?

​

The first thing I want you to know about me is that I LOVE seniors! You all are my favorite. This is such an important, wonderful, fun, exciting time filled with memories and milestones. And your senior pictures are a big deal. I am here to capture all things "you" this year. To do that, I want to get to know you, find out what makes you tick, so that we can collaborate to create images that will speak specifically to who you are right now.  It's not just about the pictures, though. Your entire senior year is a unique experience and I believe your senior pictures should be an amazing experience within the experience. I am your photographer but I am also your cheering section. And about me personally? I am a: mom, grandma, sister, auntie, friend, piano teacher and professional keeper of memories. I am all about relationships and I embrace emotion. The thing that most defines me, however, is that I am follower of  Jesus, which is the lens through which I view the world (and the way I view the world through my camera lens). My faith profoundly affects my photography. The gift I have as an artist is from God and I show up, in Christ's love, to serve and document the authenticity and beauty of the milestones I see before me. Photographer Ashley from Copper and Coal Photos said, "Photography isn't separate from my walk with God. It is one of the ways I live it out." Yes, that.

So aside from the experience and relationship, what can I expect to receive from you?

 

I am a full service photographer, and I have carefully planned and mapped out every step of your senior pictures experience so that all you have to do is sit back and enjoy it. I will be with you from start to finish and continue to be available to you beyond your senior year. You will have my respect, encouragement and commitment to excellence as your photographer. (And I will make sure you have those Senior Sunday pictures to post)

What sets you apart from other photographers?

Besides doing all I can to ensure you have a fabulous experience, I offer all kinds of things you don't typically find with other photographers, like, for example, destination shoots or my Senior magazine. My senior pictures experience comes with a whole list of perks which you will discover in my package information below.

What does a JLP Senior Model look like?

​

As a model on my team, you are the face of my business and represent characteristics I value and strive to apply to my business and my life.  Things like positivity, kindness, and encouraging, helping and including others. Trying to always choose love. You are enthusiastic and ready for shoots, willing to share your ideas and open to trying some of my crazy ideas.

​How soon will things start happening?

​

Right away! After applicant acceptance notifications go out on February 2nd, we will schedule our team introduction and informational meeting for the following week. At this meeting, we will schedule each model's consultation and planning appointment for February or early March. And mid-March (read closely because this isn't found anywhere else on this page) each model will have a one-outfit mini session with me to kick things off. You will receive 5 social-media digital images the week after your mini. After that, we will be looking ahead to this summer, and planning our KC trip and your full session and then . . . it's off to senior year!

Okay, got it.  So what's next?

 

Read the information below that provides specifics about your Senior Package and the extras you receive as a team member, share this information with a parent, then complete and submit the application.  Applications will close on January 26th and team selection notification will be given on February 2nd.

If I receive an invitation to join the team, does that mean am I already committed?

​

No, not yet. If selected, you will be invited to attend an informational meeting that will cover all the details and give you the opportunity to ask questions before deciding on signing the contract.

Models receive my complete Senior Package which includes the following

​

• Welcome packet and gift

• Consultation and planning appointment

• Full session: 3-4 hours with as many outfits and locations as we can do (bring your favorite playlist and a friend. If you'd like, we can get a few shots of the two of you at the end of your session. And, of course, a shot with mom and/or dad!)

• Mini Cap and Gown session

• 50% discount on my fall family mini sessions (offered on select dates)

• Mini snow session if we get a good day for it

• Proof gallery of a minimum of 40 images from which to order (for team models, that number is considerably higher)

• Photographer social media sneak peek

• Social media-sized, watermarked digital images for posting 

• Digital copy of current issue of the JLP Senior Magazine

• Image Premier and Order appointment 

• Customized collection of premium, heirloom quality professional products with a lifetime warranty
